 The story of this movie was from a novel called Vekkai written by a famous Tamil novelist, Poomani. It revolves around the love, bond, and the urge of an underprivileged father to save his teenage son after his son kills an upper-caste wealthy landlord.

Primarily starring Dhanush, Manju Warrier, Prakash Raj, and many more renowned actors and actresses as leads, the movie is both critically and commercially acclaimed.
